Dr. Sara,

My name is Lisa McLendon Swetz. I was born in Jackson, MS. on January 15, 1969.

Isom was my great great great grandfather. My grandpas name is Johnson Patrick "Pete" McLendon. He was born in Simpson county MS. His father was Willaim McLendon (Isom's son) William died in 1929.

I am also very interested in my ancestors and I went to the archives in Jackson,Ms and found a pay record of Isom McLendon from the Confederate Army. He was paid $13.00 for that month and was wounded in the battle of bull run. He was sent home wouned to MS. on a train to the depot in Corinth Ms. He was paid $9.00 for the trip.

He was also on a role call sheet before that. He was on the 1960 census in MS. It listed his children, his wife and a school teacher that was listed as the people in his home. He was listed as a farmer. This is all I know about his life. I hope this is helpful for you.

I am sure we are related. Please write me back on anything you know about Isom as this is as far back as I could go in my research of my ancestors.

Yours truly,

Lisa M. Swetz
