Hi Lois, and yes I received your email. Here's what I have on the McLendons and maybe we can compare. According the marriage certificate of Elisha & Ella McIntyre on Oct. 22, 1900, here's the parents of Elisha McLendon: Father: Dr. Lewis McLendon dob: 1, July, 1811 dod: 26, Nov. 1896 Mother: Anzley9 (don't understand the 9, probably a typo) dob: June, 1821 dod: 9, Oct. 1889 (The tombstone says: Wife of Dr. Lewis McLendon) There's another female buried close to this couple: Martha Jane McLendon dob: 1, July, 1840 dod: 26, Sept., 1911 All three are buried in Bethel Church Cemetery, Anson County, NC. This is all I have on the McLendon family. I would like to know where Elisha & Ella McIntyre McLendon are buried. I do know that Ida McIntyre McLendon's first husband, Joel Alexander McLendon was no longer in the family for one reason or another because she later married a Ledbetter and had several children...probably in Anson County also but not for sure. May I ask how/or are you related to the McLendon family? I am a g-granddaughter to Ella & Ida McIntyre's brother, Thomas Dallas McIntyre. Thomas & his wife are buried in Norwood, Stanly County, NC. Please feel free to email me at my email address: bobswife1@yahoo.com Thanks for your help and keep in touch. Notify Administrator about this message?
