I had never seen the name Mason McLendon until I found it in the 1850 Lee Co., GA census. He was living next door to Burrell McLendon, so I thought it might be a son.
The ones I listed in my earlier post were ones that were not in my database. I was looking for Josiah & Sarah Dyson McClendon, which I also found in that same census along with some of Josiah's siblings.
I ran the other names in Mason's will through my data base, but drew a blank.
My line stems from Josiah's daughter Martha who married James Clark. It is the Clark family I am trying to find. They married sometime after 1850 but think their oldest child was born abt 1852, but first date I have for certain is my ggrandfather James Josiah b. Nov. 1859. His headstone says he was born in Macon GA, but was that Macon Co.? or Macon, Bibb Co., GA.
Questions, Questions, Questions.
