McLemore/Reden or Henry NC-GA C.S.A.
Hi, I'm new to this page.I am trying to find
Info on my mom's line of McLemore's.The person
I am looking for is a Redding (?Reden) McLemore
He may of gone by the name of Henry also.
According to 2 uncles and one of their cousins
he lived in the Fayetteville "area" of NC.He
enlisted in the Civil war in the C.S.A.He was
in the battle of Atlanta, and was wounded in the
neck.He was left on the battlefield, and a brother
found him 3 days later. He lived to be in his 90's,
and he died of a cancer that grew in his neck where
he had been injured in the war.My uncles have
always said that his name was Henry. He was
married 2 times.My
G-Grandfathers (His son) death Cert says his name was
Redding McLemore.
He left NC when he was about 13 or 14 and moved
to S.Ga. and lived with a brother.I have been
told that he may of had a brother that also fought
in the War from S.C.
Henry or Redding's son that I am descended
from name is Wiley Adam McLemore b. 23 Jul,1865,
Fayetteville, NC. d. 18 Nov 1939 Worth Co Ga.
He married Jemima Tucker in Worth Co Ga.This l
line went into Fla.
I'd really appreciate ANY help on this line!!
Teri
