Thanks for your explanation! I remember that in his book, John McLemore pointed out that by coming to America, the McLemore name was preserved, or "fossilized", and that in Scotland it continued to evolve, to Murray and to Gilmore. Does this fit in with your understanding also? And do the professors of Gaelic also think McLemore was from Mac Ghiulle Mhuire, "Son of the Servant of Mary?"
Or do they have some other understanding. I still am unclear as to how this fits in with the Clan Morrison....maybe I'll just have to wait for heaven too! Thank you so much for your explanation.
