I don't know that I follow your note entirely. Are you saying that the Mac Guille Mhuire is a name used only in the Highlands? And how does Morrison fit into all this. You have to excuse my ignorance, but the Scottish Clan system is something I don't understand.

In John McLemore's book, I thought he had concluded that Mun. McLemore probably came from the Scottish lowlands, near Argyllshire or somewhere in that area. Didn't he speculate that the name was first used in that area of Scotland and in the area of Waterford, Ireland?

All I remember for sure is that the McLemore's were not Scotch-Irish (Ulster Scots).
