Hi Melba, Thanks for the information on Susan and Thomas Sessions. Regarding the will of James McLemore III, Wilson's father. It was actually the will of Charles McLemore, James's brother. James died in 1811 in Hancock Co. Georgia. He must have died unexpectedly, because he left no will. Following his death, Wilson' mother Elizabeth and some of her children, incliding Wilson moved to Jones County, Georgia, near or with James's bachelor brother Charles. When Charles died in September 1815, he willed his estate to his widowed sister-in-law Elizabeth and her children. The record I have of Charles' will comes from the book, "History of Jones County, Abstracts of Jones County Wills, Book "A" -- 1808-1890, I copied from LDS Family History Library. You are right, I should check with Jones County to see about getting an actual copy of the will. Myself and others have always thought that is was a misspelling, or just a mistake made by the scribe who copied it for the book. Thanks, David Notify Administrator about this message?
