Thanks for the encouragement.
My trail seems to lead to Lauderdale, AL next. I believe that James Arnold's (also cited in 1920 census as "ARNOLD J McLemore/Masemore") father was THOMAS L. McLemore b. Jan 27, 1873. He married ORIE/LOSA/ORA EASTEP Aug. 23, 1891 in Lauderdale.
A census also shows a widowed aunt "MARY" and an Uncle FRANKLIN B. (elsewhere Macklin B.) b. 1858 living with them.
Any tips?
