James, Just did some more digging re: the Hudpeths and McLemores and here is what I came up with. It looks like Hannah Hudspeth is the d/o Ralph Hudspeth and a second wife Mary Carter. Sibs were Giles, Geo., Aires, John, David, Lucy, Ralph, Carter and Margaret. None of this is proven, but did find many of these names in the Surry Co., NC census of 1790. Aires probably comes from the name of his Grandmother Margaret Eyres/Ayres. Anyway, I found Ephriam McLemore in the same census with one male over 21, 3 males under and 5 females. Also found that Ephriam's Estate was listed in Surry Co., NC, in 1799. Other Hudspeths were listed also. Found the John Hudspeth who married Mary Vaughn in 1771, John Doyle Bondsman prob. died ca 1781 and there is a Mary Hudspeth listed in the 1790 census, with one male under 21 and 1 female. This John Hudspeth was prob. the s/o Giles and Elizabeth Bradford. This Hudspeth Family was intermarried with the Ayres, Humphries, Carters and Floyds. Not sure if any of these names offer any clues or not, but at least one of James MacLemore's chn is accounted for. Walter Weeks Notify Administrator about this message?
