I am seeking information about my great-grandfather, LEE MCLEMORE (MACKLEMORE).
He married Elizabeth M. Green in Sebastian County, Arkansas on Sept. 29, 1867.
He served as a Deputy Marshall working out of the United States Court House in Van Buren and Fort Smith, Arkansas (it moved to Ft. Smith on March 3, 1871) (The Famous Judge Parker was appointed in March of 1875). He was bonded on three different occassions: November 30, 1868, June 11, 1869 & May 11, 1871
1880 Census in Hot Springs, Garland, Arkansas states:

Macklemore, Lee, white, male, 43, employee (works in livery), married, born in Virginia, father born in Virginia, mother born in Virginia.
___ Lizzie, white, female, 32, wife, (works keeping house), born in Tennessee, father born in Tennessee, mother born in Tennessee (? copy cut off).
___ John, white, male, 12, son, born in Ark., father born in Virginia, mother born in Tennessee.
___ Lula, white, female, 9, daughter, born in Ark., father and mother the same as John.
___ George, white, male, 7, son, born in Ark., father and mother the same as John. (My grandfather)
He died November 16, 1886 and is buried in the Hollywood Cemetary in Hot Springs, Garland County, Arkansas. He shares a grave marker with his son, John, who died july 30, 1890. It is assumed that Lizzie, who had remarried, put the marker for both of them. The family had said that Lee was buried in an unmarker pauper's grave until the marker was discovered by Carolyn McLemore (my wife) in August of 1983.
According to the 1880 census he would have been born in 1837-38 in Virginia with both parents also being born in Virginia. I have no connection beyond Lee. Any assistance or insight would be appreciated.
