I am searching for the parents of Richard McLamore who was born in VA in 1830. He is listed in an 1880 Winn Parish, LA census, and again in 1900. He stated that both of his parents were born in VA. I found a Jonathan McLamore listed in 1810 Southampton County, VA census. Does anyone know if there is a connection? Or, could it be possible that Richard changed his name from McLemore?
He married Mary Davidson of AL. Any information on this line is greatly appreciated.
