The will of Edward Sharp of Botetourt County, VA (dated 8 May 1770, proved 12 Jun 1770) mentioned his father-in-law John McClelan and his brother-in-law William McClelan. Edward's wife was Jane. Their children were named Anthony, John and Annis.

Botetourt county was created from Augusta County in 1770.

John McClelan of Augusta County conveyed 60 acres on Looney's Creek to Edward Sharp of Augusta County on 12 Oct 1765; when McClelan acquired the property on 5 May 1761, he was listed as a resident of Bedford County.

Would like to know as much detail as possible about John McClelan and William, and their families -- where did they live and when?
