I am trying to identify descendants of McClain, William and John McClellan of Screven Co, GA and their connection to Bladen Co, NC where McClain’s name was found on a 1771 tax list. I plan to use DNA testing to supplement some of the missing records and set up a McClellan DNA project in order to obtain lower rates. However, this is just one project and anyone can set up a McClellan (various spellings) project of their own under this umbrella account and get the lower rates.
