Looking for info on the parents of John
John McLellan was born on May 25, 1742 in Fowlis Wester, Perth, Scotland. There have been a couple indications that his father’s name was Patrick, however that has been unverifiable. What is known about John immigrating to America came from a book titled, “An Illustrated Historical Atlas of LaPorte County, Indiana”.
“John was a Scotchman who immigrated to America before the Revolution, and settled in Grafton County, N.H., where he lived to a good old age, engaged in farming and died about 1818”.
John married Dolly Varnum
