Hi,
I am also descended from John & Elizabeth McLehaney. John is as far back as I have been able to go on the McLehaney's. The different spellings I believe can be attributed to lack of education of our ancestors and also the census enumerators. It is entirely possible to assume that McLehaney could have been spelled differently at different times. I am descended from John's son William M. I don't have any information on Harriet at all. I would love to have your info on her side of the family and I would be glad to share my info on William's side if you would like it. I got info about Elizabeth(Womack)McLehaney from William Freeman who has his tree on the Family Tree Maker web site. There is extensive info on her ancestors. I would like to hear from you.
Thanks.
Tom McLehaney
