Case of two Marys born the same year - niece actually born a few months prior to Aunt!!!
Hugh Lauchlin McLaurin & wife Mary Adaline Buchanan's last child Mary was born Nov. 25, 1875. Previous desc. charts gave her birthday as July 9, 1875 which is incorrect. Mary died on Aug. 30, 1876 and is buried in the Bezer Cemetery in Smith Co., MS.
Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" born July 9, 1875 is the niece of the previous Mary/grandaughter to Hugh Lauchlin & Adaline. Mollie was the daughter of Julius Theodore & Nancy Jane Palmer. Mollie married James Robert "Bob" Robinson. They lived in Laurel, Jones Co., MS and are both buried at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Laurel.
