Hi Sarah, I am a McLaurin on my mother's side. We go back to the Duncan McLaurin, which supposedly was one of the brothers who came to the Laurinburg area from Scotland around 1790. I have some genealogy on this side. Interestingly enough, I have an uncle who was a minister and he has a son named Stewart! so I am pretty sure there is a connection.
