We have a Mary Ellen McLaurin b. 1845 in South Carolina, who was married to Augsutus Jerome Newman in MS in 1869. She died in MS in 1882. Her father may have been Daniel E. Mc Laurin and his father Hugh McLaurin. Any connection? Thanks, Donna
