William P. "Mac" McLaughlin, 88, of Jackson, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008 at Centra State Medical Center, Freehold. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he lived in Somerset, and South Bound Brook, before coming to Jackson in 2007. He was a truck driver for many years with U.S. Steel Corp., Fairless Hills, Pa. Mac was an avid golfer and worked part-time as a starter at Quail Brook Golf Course, Somerset. He was an Army veteran of WWII. Predeceased by his first wife, Helen (Chicon) in 1970, and his second wife, Nellie in 2007. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Constantine "Connie" McLaughlin and his wife, Beverly, of North Brunswick; a daughter, Patricia Burke, of Jackson, with whom he lived; two granddaughters, Doreen DeSilva and her husband, Joe, and Melissa Burke, and three great-grandchildren, Brittney, Madison, and Zachary. Family will receive friends from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Sunday, at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, "DeBow Chapel," 150 West Veterans Hwy., Jackson. Family and friends are invited to gather at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with a committal service to follow at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick Notify Administrator about this message?
