Awesome Thank you so much for this info. I will now have to make the trip to visit the gravesite and take pictures of the headstones if there are any. I have gone to some gravesites and found NO headstones, because I believe they were just too poor to afford them. One interesting tidbit for you, my Wm. A McLauglin moved to Grafton MA in 1873 and on to Keene NH in 1874 to work at Foster's Tannery as a currier. August 15 1874 he was arrested for the murder of Allen Craig. He pled guilty to 1st degree manslaughter and was sentenced to 20 yrs. Can you imagine how shocked I was to find this out! Somethings are just not discussed at family gatherings. Another interesting note is my grandfather always said he was Scottish. I can not find one shred of information that backs that claim. Every other family branch and all my McLaughlins seem to come from Ireland. My guess is that in the mid 1800's no one wanted to be Irish so Scottish was a good alternative. Are any of your relatives from Scotland? Linda I truly can't thank you enough for the effort you put into finding MY family. Jim
