Dr. Thomas Blair McLaughlin of Palatine since 1960 Memorial visitation for Thomas Blair McLaughlin, 76, will be from 1 p.m. until the time of memorial services at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Interment will be private. Born Dec. 12, 1930, in Englewood, N.J., he died Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at home. Dr. McLaughlin was a Marine veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Palatine American Legion Post 690. He was the founder and owner of Palatine Chiropractic, where he worked until retiring from full time practice in 1998. He was a charter member of the Palatine Rotary Club, a 20-year member of the board of trustees and past two-time alumni president of the Logan College of Chiropractic of Chesterfield, Mo. Survivors include his son, Dr. Michael J. (Debra) McLaughlin; daughters, Dr. Christine M. McLaughlin and Dr. Donna M. McLaughlin; grandchildren, Blair Ryan, Cassandra Ann and Lauren Dawn McLaughlin, and Dawn, Melissa and Carmen Petrucci Jr.; great-grandson, Donovan Crecy; sisters, Bobbie Brault and Catherine Bevilaqua; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Odilia Marie McLaughlin; and son-in-law, Carmen L. Petrucci. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated for Journey from PADS to HOPE for the PADS program, 1140 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine, IL 60074. For information, 847-358-7411.
