MARY R. W. MCLAUGHLIN
Mary Ruth Whitener McLaughlin, 81, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Episcopal Church with the Rev. Bill Smyth officiating.
McLaughlin was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Kesler McLaughlin. She retired from the Tarboro City School System after 26 years of service. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma.
She is survived by her daughter, Katherine McLaughlin Pollard and husband Monty, of Charlotte; son, Thomas Kesler McLaughlin Jr. and wife Mary Ann of Richmond, Va.; grandchildren, Kesler Alexander Pollard, Mary Kirkland Pollard, Thomas Kesler McLaughlin III and Mary Elizabeth McLaughlin; and sister Marian Whitener Beavers of Sawanee, Tenn.
The family will receive friends at Clark Hall at the church following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 1245 Tarboro NC 27886.
Funeral arrangements are by Carlisle Funeral Home.
