Hi Nancy,

I grew up in the "Scotch Block" of Esquesting Twp in Ont. We had a neighbour whose name was Stuart Mclarty, He never married but a brother of his emmigrated to Manitoba and Has a son, I believe his name was Jimmy.

Stuart had a sister Isabella who married a Stark in Esquesing but she died young around the time of the 1918 flu epidemic I believe.

In the 1901 census there was a McLarty living with my grandfather George Irving on 25 highway just back of Stuart's father's farm. There were also McLarty's in Nassagawaya twp. but I know little of them.

Perhaps if you could search the records for Halton county you might find out if this family was related to you. Sorry I can't give you any more details but Stuart died around the late 1940's and lived at my parents farm his last few days.
