Hi,

I am in search of information pertaining to an adoption which took place at the turn of the 20th century.

I have information about a Jane Lavina BOWMAN who was born a McLARTY in Cananda about 1900. It is quite likely that the family was from Ontario, Canada. I am working to see if Jane Lavina was her birth name, and if I can find the names of her parents on her death record.

Jane Lavina BOWMAN married Jesse R. BARTON on December 27th, 1917 in Vassar, Tuscola, MI. She and Jesse had a son named William in 1919.

Jane Lavina died about 1922, some time following the birth of their second son. The son also died during that same time period.

Descendants of Jane Lavina (McLARTY) still live in the Flint area, and other parts of the State of Michigan. If you can assist me at all in my search for the McLARTY parents it would be very much appreciated.
