I have a photograph of a man in costume - long black coat and pants, white shirt and dark bow tie, and high silk hat. The man is wearing glasses and is standing with his hand on a newel post at the top of a stairway. This may be a publicity photo. On the back, probably in McLaren's own handwriting, "John Maitland McLaren Born Jan. 22, 1882 at Clearwater, Manitoba". I'd like to pass this along to anyone who has an interest.
