MCLANE_Josephine Marie (Jo) aged 92 years passed away peacefully at her home in Penzance on Saturday, February 12, 2005. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Clay (Tony) in 2003, her parents John Tholl and Antonia Poetsch: sisters and brothers-in-law: Annie (Martin) Lichacz, Mayme (Jack) Gerlitz, Jean (John) McLane, Elsie (John) Lowenberg: brothers: John, Fred, George, Anton, Carl (and his twin brother in infancy): brothersin-law Glen (Denise) McLane, Virgil (Mary) McLane, Doug and Harold McLane, John Anhorn and Cam Walker. Josephine is lovingly remembered by her sons: Robert (Muriel) McLane, Ryan and Rhett; Harvey (Bev) McLane, Corrie (Christa) and great grandsons: Noah and Zachary, Nicole (James) Bateman, her daughters: Marcia (Bill) Jones, Tammy (Chuck) Thomas, great grandchildren: Ryan, Chandra and Rhys, Marcy, great grandchildren: Keyaira and Kaiden: Lonnie, Chad (Dawn) Jones and great grandson Taylen, Daniel; daughter Marlene (Brian) Pitchford, her sisters: Frances Walker, Lorraine (Bill) Hengen, brother Herb (Bernadette) Tholl, sisters-inlaw Eileen Anhorn, Helen McLane and Lynn (Doug) Parsons as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Josephine was born at Peebles, SK on March 20, 1912. She attended Normal School and taught during the depression years at Wolff Valley School. Later she taught one room of the two room School at Stalwart Grades I to VII. Josephine married Clayton (Tony) in July 1940 and after numerous temporary homes they moved permanently to the Irwin Homestead north-east of Liberty where they resided until Clayton's death in 2003. Josephine will be fondly remembered for her wonderful meals and hospitality, her love of cards and her devotion to her family. Always remembered Forever loved. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church Imperial, SK of Friday, February 18th at 2:00 with Rev. Father Arnulfo Sison officiating. Interment will follow in the Wolfton Cemetery near Liberty, SK. A Vigil of Prayer will be held on Thursday, February 17th at 7 p.m. at St. Pius X R.C. Church.
