McLane family came from Ireland -1834

Is there any knowledge of the McLane family in Ireland? It appears that my GG Grandparents came to America from County Down, Ireland. They arrived in New York on May 15,1834 aboard the "Nimrod" from Liverpool. After their arrival in America they changed their name to Macklin. The names on the passenger list are: Robert McLane - age 55, farmer, Elizabeth McLane - age 48, John McLane - age 23, William McLane - age 17, Margaret McLane - age 15, Robert McLane - age 12.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
