Hi Cousin Cathey,
My gfather, Luther McLam, was Martin's brother. There were also 3 girls - Belle, Carrie, and Vic. These were the children of Lewis James McLam(s/o John and Nancy Hinson McLam) and Helen Blake(d/o Frank and Caroline Walker Blake). After Helen died, Lewis married Sally, and they had 1 son, Cannie.
Where do you live, how much do you know about the New Hope community of Columbus Co, NC, where Bess grew up, and which of her children is your parent? I went to New Hope School with Hebry, as well as with some of Dock's kids - in late 50s. I have lots of info on these McLam folks - no very well organized, but will pull it together, based on what you already know. Send your snail mail addrerss.
