McLamb/McLam/Lam Connection??
Posted by: Dave Lam Date: January 07, 2001 at 13:44:57

Does anyone working on the McLamb or McLam families have any evidence of a branch of the family which changed the name to LAM? Family tradition says the family is Scotch/Irish, but we are at a dead end going beyond the 1790 census, and I wonder if that's when the name changed. Most of the family I am working on is in Rockingham and Rockbridge Counties, Virginia. Thanks for any help. Dave Lam
