Hi Linda,
Yes, I knew Uncle Edgar, he died at 107 years old and lived on 701 highway. I talked to him when he was 103. My grandmother was his sister, Lottie McLamb
who married Walter Mathis and they lived in Wayne County and both were buried in the Mclamb Cemetery behind uncle Edgar home. My mother was Ruby Mathis West who married Clayton West in Sampson county. Now who are your parents? I have talked to Aunt Irene and Gatsy about our grandparents. Gr Grandma Susie was their mother. So gr gr grandpa was not Doug it was Dublin? Thanks for telling me I have been trying to find out his wife's name for the longest time. I think we have a connection here. You have given me some information that I did not know about gr gr grandpa.
E-mail me at ALLY3729@AOL.COM
Note: I found two of Aunt Lula's grand daughters on the message boards, too. Lula LaGrange in New Orleans and Drew in NY. Alice West Ferguson in Greenbelt, MD.
