Hi I have a Robert McLauchlan born c 1795 in Moulin Perthshire.
He lived at Birk Hill.
He was the son of Alexander McLauchlan and Elspeth McIntosh..(death cert gave his mother's name as Margaret). She was still alive in the 1851 census living in Moulin Parish and recorded as Elizabeth.(Elspeth is a Perthshire variant).
Robert married Ann in 1820 in Logierat when he lived at Strathgarry in Moulin. They had lived at Birk Hill since 1823, but by the time of his death in 1878, had moved to Garry side in Blair Atholl.
I wonder if there could be some connection between your McLauchlans & mine.
