I would like to correspond with any descendents of John Taylor McKown and Alma Louella Puryear. John was born in Mississippi in Dec 1854 to James S. McKown and Martha Thompson. James S. migrated to Texas and died in the Civil War.
Martha married John Moore and lived in Milam county Texas. John T. married Alma Puryear in Milam County in 1877 and migrated first to Foard County Texas in 1891 then on to Carter County, Oklahoma. He and Alma are both buried in Carter County. John died in 1919 and Alma died in 1926.
I have information on the descendents of James Hadley McKown and George Washington McKown who were brothers to John Taylor McKown. I would like to exchange family information.
