Capt. McKown 71st EMM

Does anyone have any information on Capt. McKown of the 71st Enrolled Missoui Militia, Co. G? The unit enrolled at Marshall, MO 1862. Capt. McKown was a member of the 7th Missouri Cavalry (Union). In the 71st EMM there is a Pvt. John D. McKown, age 42 who enlisted in the 71st EMM Co. G on July 30, 1862 and was relieved of duty April 5, 1863. Are these one in the same people? Would be interested in any information of the time with the 71st EMM or the 7th MO Cavalry. My Great Grandfather, Simon C. Carey, was in both units. Thank you. Patricia Carey Bishop
