Patrick McKown was from Glenarm, County of Antrim, Ireland. Son of Robert and Nancy (Ford) McKown. Emigrated to America in 1763 with sister Mary McKown and his cousin Rev. John Murray. Landed in New York and then went to Townsend, ME (now Boothbay area).
Patrick's will reads, "my estate or house and garden in Taberwyne Street in Glenarm in the country of Antrim, Ireland adjoining the house formerly possessed by George Eaton, I give to my eldest son, Robert."
Patrick McKown's aunt was Jene (some records show Jean) Murray Reed, wife of Andrew Reed, Antrim, Ireland who emigrated in 1743 to Boothbay, ME area.
Ref. Source: Greene, History of Boothbay, Southport and Boothbay Harbor.
I'm researching Andrew Reed trying to learn about his life prior to emigration in 1743. If you have any info/need any additional info, please contact me.
