Help me, I need help with finding my family tree dating back to the 1700's!!!

My name is Caitlin Shae McKone, both of my parents families are from Ireland just from different times. I am not sure of when my fathers side came to America and my mothers side I am forth generation Irish in America; but I do not know much of my mothers side of the family. Through my both of my parents I have 3 younger sisters (all blood related) Sarah Elizabeth, Courtney Mahgan, Siobhan Alexandria. parents My fathers name is Jeffery William McKone and he has a sister (Siobhan) and a brother (Steven Drew). My Uncle Drew has 2 kids Steven Drew II and Laura. My Aunt Siobhan also has 2 kids Natallie Erin and Sean Patrick. My fathers parents are Linda Lu Poland and John Williams McKone. Everyone I have mentioned is alive aside from my fathers fathers. Could anyone give me some help or give suggestion of where to go to get inforamtion on my ancestors?
