Hello, Pat. Thanks for your reply. It is wonderful that you were able to contact me at all, and the wait is unimportant.

Sorry you are NOT "my" Pat! There is a London, Ontario, Pat Knight out there, who is a McKone relative of mine, and I would like to hear from him. You'll recall that my earlier message said that he and I went to the same High School and we both had very long bike rides home and we often used to ride together. At that time I didn't know that Pat had a connection to the McKone family.

Am I right in thinking that you have a McKone in your family somewhere? My ancestor, who immigrated to Canada from Antrim,Ireland during the Potato Famine and settled in south-western Ontario (north and east of the city of London, Ontario), was a William McKone. He was of the Methodist faith. His granddaughter,my paternal grandmother, was Matilda Jane McKone, from the small community of Throndale, Ont.
