I am the great granddaughter of Elizabeth McDowell & the granddaughter of Leona McKnight. I never knew anything about the McKnights as they never talked about him that I remember. My father was the grandson of Elizabeth, so I knew some of the McDowells. I remember Oscar McDowell, Harold McDowell & Edwin McDowell. Leona married Henry Chowning & they had three children, Aileen, James & Henry. My father married Ruby Michael. I knew that Leona's maiden name was McKnight, but I never knew for sure who her father was. Thanks for the info & I hope this helps you.
