Hello,
I am researching a McKnight family in Missouri and thought you might be able to help me. Jon McKnight(a good friend of mine)ask me if I would help find his family. The following is what he gave me.
Jon's Father was Willard C. McKnight(born:9/26/1920-don't have place of birth;died:8/22/1993-Houston,Harris Co.,Texas). He Married Jeaneetta May Lawhon(I have nothing on her). Willard's parents were Eldon R. McKnight(born:12/27/1894-Ridgeley,Mo.;died:10/30/1952-St. Joseph,Buchanan Co.,Missouri)and Mary Lee Copeland(born: / /1900-unknown birth place-unkown marriage date-died:10/21/1942-Platte Co., Missouri). Her Parents were William F. and Lucy Walters(this is all I have on them).
Eldon's parents were George McKnight(born:7 / /1870? - ;died: 6/18/1937-Platte Co.,Missouri)and Lina Staniford(I have nothing on her). George's father was Eli(Ely) McKnight. We have nothing on George's mother.
Jon told me he was told by his father,their family migrated through Illinois.
This is all we have. Any addisional information or direction to go in would really help us.
