Looking for information on Thomas McKnight and his wife Jane. They lived in Marshall County Tennessee from the late 1830’s through 1870 and he was the clerk of the circuit court. Both Thomas and Jane were born in North Carolina; Thomas about 1807 and Jane about 1804. Census records indicate they had four children: Augustus, born about 1833; Ellen, born about 1836 and married Richard Harvill; Sarah, born about 1838 and is listed in later census as Sarah Harvill and Margaret, born about 1843.
There is a marriage record in Wilson County dated September 1829 for a Thomas McKnight and Jane Fare. I would like to determine if this is the marriage of the Thomas and Jane of Marshall County as well as when they died and where they are buried but any information is appreciated.
