Kristin, Temperance "Cousin Tempy" to my grandfather, Joseph C. Chandler. "Tempy's" house (off Hwy 25, near the old roller mill) was the site of a reunion of the decendants of Allen and Temperance Davenport Chandler around 1929. My parents, grandparents, and their cousins all attended; I have an article from the Greenville News about the reunion and the family. I would appreciate any info you could give me on this family, esp the Chandlers. (I think I told Julie, Tempy was a Chandler, but I think I corrected it with her as Tempy being a Scott before she married.).
