Hi,
My name is Mary-Jane McKitterick and my great grandfather came to Canada from Armagh as well about 1880....although the Mary Jane came the Willis side of the family. My father knows more about the history and names but I thought I would respond to your inquiry.
We are one of the few families who keep the 'e' in our last name. My grandfather, Gordon McKitterick did visit Armagh to trace family history before he died in the 1970's. His sister Hope Elliston is still alive and in her nineties.
I live in Toronto as well.
