I have two George McKittrick's in my family. There is a possibility that your George McKittrick is a brother or cousin to Patrick McKittrick, my GGgrandfather who immigrated from Ireland in 1849 or 1850 at the age of 21 and eventually settled in Woburn, MA. I believe he had a brother or half-brother named James who also settled in Woburn. The 1860 census also lists a unmarried woman named Anna McKittrick living in his household in Woburn.
James immigrated through NYC in 1853 and lived in NYC several years before moving to Woburn.Patrick and his wife Rose named one of their sons George, and George's son was also named George. Patrick and James both have the same father, Terrance, according to their death certificates but the mother's names are different.Let me know what you think.
