Thank you for all your help yes the Elisabeth who was married on 8/3/46 is the right one! Great, its amazing these parts of the mystery have been solved by two members of these forums within days. You have confirmed to me the marriage date that i have been given by another member, and i beleive the parents will be proved to be the ones you've mentioned. Funny i never found that marriage on the IGI.
The birth date seems right to.
Our Elisabeth died at Sixpence near Colmonell Ayr in 1879 and William married again. Thanks also for the childrens details it is very informative and i think i will get the CD myself for further research.
I am going to New Register House in Edinburgh soon if i can i will check your WM HOUSTON AND ELIZ MC KISSOCK.
It would be great to find out any connections.
