Sorry for the delay in replying but I've been out of town. As you say there is probably a family connection but I know nothing more about my Elizabeth McKISSOCK than when I posted that query. I checked the IGI and found the marriage of William McQUAKER to Elizabeth McKESSOCK on March 8, 1846 in Ballantrae, Ayrshire. Also on the IGI there is an Elisabeth born to William McKISSOCK and Elizabeth LOGAN on 18 Jul 1816 in Ballantrae, Ayrshire. Could this be the Elizabeth you are looking for?
