Hello Jude,
My ggrandfather was Robert HOUSTON who was age 48 when he married Elizabeth McNEILAGE(ms WALKER)on Aug 1, 1875 in Hutchesontown, Lanark. This was a second marriage for both. Their marriage certificate lists Robert's parents as William HOUSTON, calico printer, and Elizabeth McKISSOCK. Robert would have been born about 1827. I have been unable to find his birth or the marriage of his parents. The only likely Eliz. McKISSOCK I have found is "your" Elizabeth, born 1802 to David McKISSOCK and Elizabeth McHARG. Any chance her marriage to Alexander ROSS was a second marriage? If you come across this couple (Wm. HOUSTON & Eliz. McKISSOCK and any offspring)in your research I would love to hear from you.
