Hooray! My name is James Clark McKissock and I'm the great grand son of Thomas McKissock who was married to Susan Berry. Family members claim our branch of the family emmigrated from the Isle of Man but we could never find out
who or when or where. My father Charles William McKissock was born in Winnepeg Ma. 4/4/1898 to James McKissock born in 1865 in Canada (no other info)died 2/21/1899 leaving my father and brother Robert C. McKissock brn 12/10/1895 also in Winnepeg as small children. James McKissock married Alexandrina Clark on 11/26/1890 in Salt St.Marie Ont. She was born 6/14/1864 in Seaforth Ont. Alexandrina remarried to James Telford 4/24/1906.
We know that Thomas had more sons but I am not certain of the1r names, There may have been a son Thomas whos son's were my father's cousins, named P.K. McKissock who lived in southern CA. P.k. may have had a brother Bert McKissock born in Canada 10/19/1899. They did have children but I don't know their names.
I was born in 7/11/1943 in Oakland CA. My father died when I was 15. My father didn't know much about the McKissock family history as he didn't know his father James,a contractor who died of tetanus stepping on a rusty nail.
