I haven't seen anything directly on your family; however, just looking at their names--and being a McKISSACK researcher myself--I wondered if you've tried Daniel (2 of them) McKISSACK of Union Co SC?

Isaac McKISSACK (there might have been 3 of them)

1810 census: Isaack McKISICK. Union Co SC p244 (Robert McKITTSICK p116 Newberry)

I'm just thinking if there was a will; and, if there was any Quaker connection for these families, there might have been some freed at the death of the patriarch.

The Quakers of Newberry Co SC went to Columbia OH (I think) in the early 1800's.

If you ask me, I would think they were Presbyterian and possibly emigrated to Maury Co TN; but, it's always best to check into it.

It's my understanding that there's a McKISSACK cemetery in Union Co SC for this time--there might be a cemetery book including it.

Where do you find Moses in the 1880 census?
