I think it very interesting that the two following names: McKisick and McKissick appear in a list of surnames in the book Emmet Starr's 1923 History of the Cherokee Indians. Does anyone have that book? I didn't actually see the index. I found the names on a website. I would like to know why whose two names are in the book. Perhaps it mentions James McKisick, who was an indian advocate.

Well, I'll not speculate further. Anybody know anything about this?
