I'm looking for information on John Daniel McKinzie, my gggrandfather. He was born in Illinois in 1820, he was living on Robinson Creek, Hood County, Texas in 1868 and was wounded in the "Point of the Timbers" battle in that year. He shows up on the 1870 Hood County, Texas census with his wife Eliza and children:
Albert
George Alvin
Josephine
Jennie
John F.
Jesse
George Alvin McKinzie, my ggrandfather was born in 1854 and married Hester (possibly Esther) Marina Taylor. They had 12 children. He died in a train wreck near El Paso, TX in 1902 and she died of old age in Modesto, CA in 1942.
John F. MccKinzie married Elizabeth Harrison. I have no further information, but I to have a lot of old photographs that I inherieted when my grandmother passed away.
Any help or information on any of these folks would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jack Parsons
