Marsha Moses from the Bush River Quakers board has done some interesting work on the Mckinsey's and may have a link between Sarah McKinsey and Mordecai Moore of Wrightsboro, Georgia.
If what you say about naming conventions is correct, then George and Sarah's first son David should be named after George's father. Their second son Mordecai should be named for Sarah's father, and their third son Samuel for Georges eldest brother.
With those items in mind, all of who are looking for George's origins should be seeking information relating to David and Samuel Mckinsey in the Carolina's, Virginia, and possibly as immigrants from Scotland.
